This self-titled release was a great introduction point for Cease and Resist and one which shows a lot of promise. Cease and Resist shines a mix of crushing guitar, fast drums, and relevant, inspired lyrics. The production’s really over the top and it works for them. Overly polished but again, it fits the band’s sound. “Pressure” best sums up Cease and Resists overall message on this debut release. The inspired guitar riffs and the Angry and frustrated lyrics along with the driving bass and drums show the bands frustration with the lack of a middle class in todays’ society.

lyrics
On a set of tracks, moving faster.
There 'aint no way that I can curb this disaster.
I close my eyes, because I want to let go.
Alleviate tension, the whistle blows.
Sparks fly - I won't lie.
I'm scared to death, 'cause I don't want to die.
My blood boils, that's when you know:
It's time to take cover - I'm about to explode!
Am I exactly what you planned?
A human-supernova in your hand.
BANG BANG - Burn up everything at once.
BANG BANG - Is this what you want?
I'll blow apart until there's nothing left.
BANG BANG - I'll burn myself to death.
Catalogue humans as debits and deficits.
It's getting harder everyday to FUCKING give a SHIT.
The world is heavy, but the weight is just the half of it.
Everything we know, is just a failed experiment.
I try to love - I try to live well.
Distracted by bullSHIT, impossible to tell.
Am I really doing everything I can?
If I blow myself apart, can you understand?
Bangin' bass drum to the reggae rhythm,
when I turn the music up, it get's under my skin.
Hear the bass line drop and then I heat up within.
Punk rock make me wicked, and I about to sin.
HEY HO, here we go.
Down a dark path, on a dead end road.
I've reached an em pass, a critical mass, I won't last.
This is nuclear fusion - burnin' out fast.
